Self-Care Hive
Overview
Bees in Minecraft often behave unwisely. Without supervision, they can accidentally drown or die in other ways, leading to the extinction of the entire colony. Although they can be locked in an airtight hive, this contradicts the natural behavior of insects in nature.
This mod gives bees greater independence. Now they can consume honey from the hive to restore health and reproduce when necessary. Each of these behaviors can be configured or disabled through game rules.
Features
Self-Healing
When a bee leaves the hive, it may consume some honey to restore a certain amount of health. The insects try not to overuse healing, except when the hive is overflowing with honey.
By default, bees spend 1 honey level to restore 1 heart of health at a time.
Automatic Breeding
A hive that has not yet reached maximum population can create new bees by consuming honey. The system tracks when adults leave the nest. If a bee is absent for too long, it is considered missing and can be replaced with a new one.
New offspring can appear when a bee flies out of the hive. Only one adult is required to create a baby. This process also activates and checks the parent's breeding cooldown period.
By default, 5 honey levels are required for each new offspring.
