Server Stats
The Server Stats mod implements a modern server-side statistics system for legacy versions of Minecraft, where such functionality was previously missing or limited.
Before this system, player statistics were stored only on the client, leading to shared data across all worlds and frequent resets. Now, statistics are tied to specific worlds on the server, ensuring reliable storage and accurate metrics.
To view their own statistics, players can install Server Stats on both the client and server—this allows data synchronization when joining single-player or multiplayer worlds with the mod. An alternative is upgrading to Minecraft version 1.7.x or higher, where the statistics system is already built-in.
A key feature of the mod is the statistics upgrade system, which converts ID-based statistics to a system using resource locations. This ensures compatibility when transitioning to Minecraft versions 1.8 and newer.
For proper statistics upgrade, each player must join the server at least once in a version from 1.8 to 1.12.2.
Installation
Server Stats runs on Quilt Loader using the OrnitheMC toolchain for older Minecraft versions. Installation is straightforward: use the Ornithe installer, then place the mod file in the mods folder.
Supported Versions
The mod covers a wide range of Minecraft versions, including some snapshots. Supported versions include:
- Beta 1.5 – Beta 1.8.1
- Release 1.0 – 12w17a (1.3 snapshot)
- Release 1.3.2 – Release 1.12.2
Note that in versions before Release 1.2, the vanilla statistics system for some metrics (such as amounts crafted) is quite broken, and this is not fixed in the mod.
Unsupported versions include leaked beta builds, Beta 1.9/1.0 pre-releases, and certain 1.3 snapshots. Using the mod on these versions is possible but without support guarantees.
