Welcome to the world of Sharp Tone - a mod created for ModFest: Singularity by developer DiamondDev. This project represents a unique combination of musical instrument and deadly weapon in a single item.

Resonant Dagger

The main innovation of the mod is the Resonant Dagger, crafted using echo shards from version 1.19. This unusual item has the ability to generate powerful sound waves, turning music into a weapon.

Charging System

The dagger accumulates energy when killing mobs, operating on a principle similar to the sculk catalyst. However, charging efficiency is lower due to the limited power of echo shards. The system includes five charge levels: Silent Echo, Echoing Whisper, Reverberating Call, Vibrating Scream, and finally, Resonant Voices. Each new level is accompanied by a sound signal, and full charge makes the weapon incredibly powerful.

Sonic Attack

After accumulating sufficient charge, you can release a devastating sound wave resembling the Warden's attack. Unlike the original ability, this wave is weakened by armor, although protection enchantments have no effect. The attack knocks back enemies over a significant distance, and when used near the ground creates a recoil effect allowing you to jump. It's important to note that your own sonic explosions do not damage the owner.

The mod development took only six days, and the author is proud of the achieved result. On the developer's YouTube channel, you can find recordings of the creation process and amusing bugs that occurred during development.
