ShieldBreak - Enhanced Shield Mechanics for Minecraft

The ShieldBreak mod completely overhauls the shield system in Minecraft 1.12.2, replacing the basic mechanics with a more sophisticated and realistic approach. Instead of simple shield breaking by axes, it now uses a complex system that takes into account shield durability, incoming damage, attacker's weapon type, and parrying capabilities.

Each shield can absorb a certain amount of damage based on its durability. If an attack exceeds the shield's protective capabilities, it enters a cooldown state, with duration depending on the amount of damage received. However, skillful parrying allows complete blocking of any attack regardless of its strength, while the attacker is thrown back further than normal.

Weapons that previously could disable shields (axes, halberds from Spartan Weaponry) now have a configurable chance to cause extended shield cooldown. This chance is further increased with the Sharpness enchantment.

All mod parameters are fully customizable through configuration files. The mod only needs to be installed on the server side. When installed on the client, tooltips for shields will display information about maximum absorbable damage, but for correct display with modified server settings, configuration synchronization will be required.
