ShutUpDeadEntities
A client-side mod that smoothly fades out mob sounds when they die, eliminating abrupt cuts or lingering audio effects.
This enhancement modifies Minecraft's audio behavior by dynamically stopping or gradually reducing the volume of sounds from entities that are no longer present in the world — inspired by how Breeze handles wind sounds.
Key Features
Smooth sound fading for all mobs When any mob dies or disappears, its current sounds (such as hissing, growling, or ambient noises) now gradually fade out. This solves the problem of lingering or abruptly cut audio effects after the source disappears.
Fixes for Creepers and Endermen Originally developed to address the issue with the charging Creeper's hiss and the Enderman's angry stare sound, which often continued after the mob's death. These fixes are now applied to all entities.
Nether portal sound improvement If you enter a Nether portal and leave before teleportation completes, the portal's charging sound now smoothly fades out instead of abruptly cutting off.
Compatibility
Client-side only Works in both singleplayer and multiplayer — just install the mod on the client.
