Simple Block Physics
Adds realistic block physics to Minecraft with collapse and destruction mechanics. The modification works through recursive support checking of blocks when they are broken or changed, without complex mathematical calculations and chunk scanning.
WARNING! Use at your own risk - the mod can destroy your builds!
Main Features
- Spectacular and dangerous cave-ins in mines and caves
- Realistic construction limitations
- Optimized physics updates to reduce load
- Flexible settings for your needs
- Prevention of air construction, forcing players to consider ground realities
How It Works
Blocks are checked for support (blocks at lower Y-level) within a specified search radius. If support is missing, the block falls or breaks. Checking occurs when placing blocks, walking on them, breaking adjacent blocks, or selecting a block as support.
Destroyed blocks turn into falling entities (like sand), which then fall, may break and scatter on the ground, continuing to move until finding a stable position.
Updates
Version 1.1: improved performance, added buoyancy setting to prevent ship sinking and weight mechanics to combat pillar construction and air bases.
Version 1.2: added block sliding probability settings and ability to invert the indestructible blocks list.
