Simple Conveyor Belts
This modification presents a simple and efficient conveyor belt system for Minecraft 1.21.1. It is compatible with Fabric and NeoForge and integrates perfectly with any item storage mods. The project is currently in beta testing, so if you discover any issues, please report them.
Functionality
The mod adds several new blocks to the game:
- Conveyor Belt - main transportation element
- Support - additional block for creating complex configurations
- Chute - guiding element for precise cargo positioning
The dynamic route system allows creating complex item movement trajectories. You only need to place the start and end points, everything else is automatically filled with flexible routing.
The system speed is approximately one stack of items per second. The system intelligently handles overflow - when the destination storage fills up, items will accumulate directly on the belt instead of being lost.
For convenient filtering, you can click on the conveyor chute with an item in your hand to set a filter. The functionality is also compatible with smart filters from the FTB Filters mod.
How to Use
- Point preparation (optional): place chutes at the beginning and end of the future trajectory
- Route formation (optional): add support blocks to create smooth bends
- Connection creation: right-click on the starting container (chest or other storage) using the belt item
- Route completion: move to the destination point and interact with the receiving storage
The system will automatically determine the optimal path between route points.
Requirements and Dependencies
For the mod to work, installation is required:
- Architectury API (universal)
- Fabric API (Fabric version only)
Development Plans
Future updates plan to add:
- Entity collisions on conveyors
- Ability to move mobs on belts
- Improved interaction physics
Note that porting the mod to versions below 1.21.1 is not planned.
