Simple Datapacks

This modification is designed to simplify the process of adding datapacks to the game. It automatically creates a special "datapacks" folder in the root directory of Minecraft, which significantly simplifies the installation of additional content.

Many players underestimate the capabilities of datapacks, mainly due to difficulties with their installation. Although datapacks often add many interesting functions and content to the game, their installation is traditionally more complicated than installing mods or resource packs. This modification solves this problem.

How to Use

preview

To start playing with datapacks, simply download any compatible datapack, place it in the datapacks folder, then when creating a world, select the desired datapack from the list. You can also specify the path to the downloads folder in the mod settings (for example, C:\Users{USERNAME}\Downloads\) and simply select the datapack from the menu.

Main Features

The modification supports four different loaders, allowing it to be used in almost any modpack. There is a flexible settings system - parameters can be changed through the mod menu (for Fabric, ModMenu is required) or through the configuration file using Cloth Config API.

Users can add and load datapacks from various folders. To change the sources, simply configure the appropriate parameters in the mod options. If you need to specify a folder in the game's root directory (for example, my_datapacks instead of the full path), just enter the folder name.

By default, datapacks are loaded from the datapacks folder in the root directory and the downloads folder, allowing them to appear in the game immediately after installation. There is also an option to disable feature packs to save screen space.

An important feature is that datapacks continue to work in the world even after the modification is disabled. In the settings, you can enable copying datapacks to the world folder - in this case, the datapack will work without the mod, as the game will read it directly from the world. After using datapacks in the world, it is recommended to re-enter the world, as some datapacks may not work immediately.
