SimpleDifficulty for Underdog
This mod is a fork of the original SimpleDifficulty, significantly expanding its capabilities and adding new water interaction mechanics.
Main Innovations
Two types of water have appeared in the world: saltwater and freshwater. Regular vanilla water is now considered spring water. Generating these water resources requires an additional mod - Cave Generator is recommended.
Compatibility and Integration
The mod works excellently with popular additions:

- Greenery aquatic plants
- Fluidlogged API
- Streams mod
Visual Improvements
Water now colors according to the biome, creating a more realistic atmosphere. A new setting has been added to adjust water brightness. Visual effects of fog over water have also been improved - the color has become more saturated and changes depending on location.
Enhanced Game Mechanics
An intelligent system for mixing saltwater and freshwater has been implemented with an optimized algorithm that doesn't affect game performance.
Effects of hypothermia and hyperthermia have been changed: they now reduce maximum health and add negative potion effects instead of dealing direct damage.
Future Plans
Support for hot springs from the Biomes O' Plenty mod is under development.
