SCP-966, The Sleep Killer
Sleep Killer introduces a terrifying creature from the SCP universe designated as SCP-966, also known as The Sleep Killer.
Key Monster Features
SCP-966 are skeletal humanoid creatures that only become visible when a player approaches within approximately 10 blocks. While they are relatively easy to defeat, their main danger lies in the special Insomnia effect that activates when the creature targets you.
The Insomnia effect completely prevents sleeping, causes continuous damage, and forces you to hear the terrifying sounds made by Sleep Killers.
Technical Specifications
When SCP-966 attacks, the player receives the Slowness effect for 10 seconds. If the creature chooses you as a target, all players within a 16-block radius receive the Insomnia effect. This effect disappears only when the SCP-966 that caused it is destroyed or stops considering anyone as a target.
The modification was created using MCreator and requires Geckolib installation for proper operation.
Frequently Asked Questions
► Why do spawn messages appear in the console?
Most mobs use special spawning conditions, meaning they can only appear when certain conditions are met. When these conditions trigger, corresponding spam is created in the console.
► Why can't I summon a mob?
Spawning conditions determine what conditions must be met for specific mobs to appear. Some mobs spawn only above Y level 60, others below. Most mobs can only appear in the overworld, not in other dimensions.
► What features are missing in different versions?
It's recommended to use the newest versions of Minecraft. Not all MCreator capabilities are available or the same across different game versions. For example: Version 1.19.2 lacks shield features, improved structure generation, or custom villagers, while version 1.20.1 supports them.
► Where does SCP-966 spawn?
SCP-966 can spawn above Y level 60 in the overworld as a regular monster. Multiple instances of SCP-966 can exist simultaneously.
