SlimColonies
Colonists handle their work, you handle yours
SlimColonies is an adapted version of MineColonies where colony residents independently handle daily tasks. Build your own settlement, assign responsibilities to workers, and everyone will focus on their tasks without your constant supervision.
Main Concept
MineColonies and SlimColonies address different tasks. While the first modification offers deep colony life simulation with detailed development of all aspects, SlimColonies is designed for cases when you want to work alongside colony residents without constantly managing them.
This is especially important in complex modpacks. When you're already immersed in GregTech mechanics or managing several demanding modifications, SlimColonies allows all participants to focus on their responsibilities. The system feels more natural and organically combines with other content. Colonists handle their affairs, you handle yours, but together you contribute to settlement development.
Advantages of SlimColonies
Set it and forget it: Effective behavioral patterns are enabled by default. No research is required to unlock basic functionality, there are no separate progression systems to manage.
Compatibility with modpacks: Works excellently alongside complex modifications without distracting your attention. No mood tracking, disease management, or enemy raids.
Prioritized automation: Free visitor recruitment, couriers work efficiently from day one, workers don't require constant supervision.
Development Status
Active development with removal of tens of thousands of code lines.
