Smidgeon o' Bliss REMASTERED
Smidgeon o' Bliss is a modification that deepens the interaction between various mods by adding unique food items that combine their capabilities! At the same time, it also offers its own content for exploration and experimentation.
This is a complete reimagining and update of the original Smidgeon o' Bliss, preserving only a small portion of the content from the initial version.
Now, instead of relying on JSON Things, everything is fully programmed in Java! The main concept has also slightly changed. Most food items are implemented with maximum uniqueness — from food that grants new potion effects to drinks that explode! There is no single theme for the food items — everything is a bit random, but that's the essence.
As I already mentioned, the emphasis has shifted towards its own content, and general mod compatibility will likely be separated into its own modification. Sorry for those who used the mod exclusively for compatibility.
Features!
-
Dripleaves! Obtained by trimming small and large Dripleaf plants. These bitter leaves provide an effect that makes you stronger as your hunger level decreases!
-
Sculk foods! Now you can grind certain sculk items to get Sculk Tendrils. These wriggling things can be consumed to create an effect that applies a stacking effect to an entity. And when that effect ends, expect a lot of damage.
-
Prickly Pears! Exploring the desert, you may find a new crop growing in groups. These spiky plants function like sweet berries of the desert! Harvest fully grown prickly pear cacti using shears. Continuing to use shears on immature cacti will yield Cactus Paddles — these can be eaten raw (which will prick you!) or used as a vegetable in most food recipes.
-
Peanuts! These tasty legumes can be found in dry climates, especially in savannas and badlands. After roasting, they can be consumed, granting a new effect that increases your armor and armor toughness!
-
Pitcher Roots! Harvested from fully grown pitcher plants, these massive tubers can be eaten raw, either sliced or turned into snackable sticks!
-
Countertops! A simple addition to your block palette — these blocks are decorative forms of stoves and cabinets, perfect for building kitchens or bars!
-
Lots of new food! Out of the box, this mod already contains many food items, but when combined with the mods listed below (not in the "Requirements" section, but in "Compatible Mods"), you'll get even more! I recommend adding Atmospheric first if you want to test it with any mod; though you'll probably use all the mods listed below anyway.
