Smooth Skies
A simple yet effective mod that solves visual sky display issues in Minecraft when using large render distances. Particularly useful in combination with mods like Nvidium, where the standard fog system creates sharp transitions.
Main Features
Smooth Fog at Long Distances: Eliminates the sharp fog boundary at high render settings. You can adjust the fog height to create a more natural transition between sky and landscape.
Sky Clipping Fix: Solves the problem of holes and gaps in the sky at short render distances by increasing far plane clipping. Particularly noticeable in fixing graphical artifacts on the Limbo map in Hypixel.
Void Darkness Adjustment: Dark void now appears only near the world's lower boundary, not at a fixed height. This eliminates the black void that could be seen below sea level in skyblock-type modes.
Clear Skies: Completely removes fog color, creating a uniform sky color. Feature ported from grondag's Clear Skies mod.
Disable Sky in Void: Stops rendering the sky when the player is below the minimum build height. May cause abrupt sky changes when entering the void.
