Sona Survival 101
This mod introduces a comprehensive set of survival elements and effects that significantly increase gameplay difficulty.
The mod is a required component for Zombie Survival Kit version 2.0.0 and above, but can also be used independently.
Main Mod Systems
Infection System
Melee attacks by undead creatures or using contaminated items can cause players to accumulate infection. Excessively high infection levels lead to negative effects and even death. Infection can only be reduced or cured with special medicines. Armor reduces received infection, while armor toughness increases the chance of resisting infection. Other creatures can also become infected and transform into infected beings at certain infection levels.
Injury System
Taking damage not only reduces health but also causes injuries with bleeding. The stronger the hit, the more serious the injury. Minor wounds heal over time, but severe injuries worsen without treatment. Blood loss weakens the player and attracts undead, so injuries require timely treatment with medical supplies.
Decay System
Food gradually spoils over time. Decay rates are configurable for each food type and various storage containers. Unlike traditional decay-based mods, this implements a system for stacking spoiled food, similar to Don't Starve - the mod automatically averages decay levels when combining foods with different freshness levels.
Note: Most backpack mods override the item stacking system, so compatibility with decay is temporarily limited. When using backpack mods, it's recommended to disable the stacking function in settings.
Rust System
Iron weapons, tools, and armor gradually rust with use. Rusty tools reduce damage and digging speed, while armor decreases attack speed. Items require regular rust removal or wax coating for protection. Specific items susceptible to rust and means for rust removal and prevention are configurable.
Sound System
Creatures react to sounds similar to the Warden. Configurable settings determine which creatures are attracted by sounds and the approximate attraction distance. By default, all undead creatures respond to sounds.
Locking System
Loot chests can generate locked. Locked chests don't drop when destroyed and cannot be emptied by hoppers. They can be opened with special items. Configurable settings determine which items can pick locks and which chests with which loot tables will be locked.
Compatibility: The locking system works with Lootr.
The mod can be added to mod packs. Remaining versions will be updated after Zombie Survival Kit 2.0.0 development is complete.
