Soulbound - A Mod About Souls and Magic
Expect Updates Soon
I have completely rewritten the dungeon system and API, and conducted thorough planning that will accelerate development in the future. Upcoming versions will feature redesigned seal and broom systems, along with fixes for numerous bugs.
Complex Magic Mod in Alpha Stage
Soulbound is a comprehensive magic mod currently in active development. If you encounter any issues, please report them on GitHub.
Core Soul Mechanics
In this mod, players must defeat mobs near a soul catalyst to collect souls. These souls are then extracted through a soul solidifier and hardened using special equipment. The obtained souls are used to create magical wands and apply magical seals to them.
Types of Magical Seals
Seals are divided into three categories:
- Passive - function as tools
- Offensive - serve as weapons
- Amplifying - modify characteristics of other seals
Passive and offensive seals can be activated to grant players various effects: increased damage, attack speed, area of effect, and others. Amplifying seals can alter these attributes.
Special Equipment Types
Sacks - a special type of magical wand designed exclusively for amplifying seals. They function as backpacks where the number of rows, columns, and stack size can be upgraded using seals.
Equipment Tiers
There are several tiers of wands and sacks: Ancient Oak, Corrupted, Blood Soul, Warped Soul, Shattered, and Purpur. Each tier has different numbers of slots of each type.
Dungeon System (Requires Hammerspace Mod)
Dungeons become available only with the Hammerspace mod installed. They are accessed using keystones found in the regular world. Using a key, the player enters a special dimension where they must complete the dungeon.
Dungeon Types
Stable Dungeons - have one level, players can freely leave and return to them. After completion, breaking and placing blocks is allowed.
Unstable Dungeons - cannot be left until all bosses on all levels are defeated. They contain more valuable loot and stronger enemies. After completion, the player is teleported out and cannot return.
