Soul Ice

A miscellaneous content addition for Minecraft versions 1.18.2 and newer, compatible with Forge, Fabric, and Quilt.

New Features

Blocks

Soul Ice - A special type of ice with incredible sliding speed. Crafted from 8 soul sand and 1 blue ice. The slipperiness level can be customized to your preferences.

Lightstone - A glowing grayish-white stone that can be found in the depths of dark biomes. The generation of this block in the world is also configurable.

Items

Cactus Armor - Spiky armor that deals damage to attacking enemies, similar to the thorns effect.

Enchantments

Unfaltering - A special enchantment for boots that prevents speed changes when moving across various surfaces. This function can be disabled in settings if desired.

Freezing - A combat enchantment for weapons. Like the previous one, it can be deactivated through configuration files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Creation History

This mod was originally conceived as a way to preserve the Soul Ice block after its removal from Consistency+. During development, I decided to expand the concept and create a standalone addition. Over time, various elements from abandoned projects were added here, allowing for the creation of a universal mod with broad capabilities.

Configuration Settings

Currently, integration with Modmenu and Forge Mod Menu is unavailable, so parameter changes are made by manually editing the configuration file located in the appropriate folder of your game instance.

Settings Synchronization

Fortunately, no need for synchronization between client and server configurations has been found. Although for enchantments, manual synchronization might be beneficial, overall I've worked to ensure automatic coordination of settings between client and server.

Mod Name

The name "Soul Ice" has become somewhat outdated since the mod now includes many more elements. In future updates, the name might change to something like "More than just Soul Ice" or "Siuol's Additions" - a final decision hasn't been made yet.

Support for Other Versions

Porting to other versions is possible but depends on my current mood and available time. The likelihood of versions for releases older than 1.16.5 is extremely low.

Future Plans

Given the number of my abandoned projects, it's likely that other elements from them will be added to the mod.

Bug Discovery

If you discover any issues, report them to Siuol through the Issues page on GitHub - I'll try to fix them promptly.

Testing

The testing level leaves much to be desired.
