Spawn Regulator Utility
The Spawn Regulator Utility modification (versions 1.21.1, 1.20.1) provides powerful tools for configuring the creature spawning system in Minecraft. This tool will be useful for modpack creators, server administrators, regular players using multiple mob mods, as well as modification developers.
Main Features
With this mod, you can avoid endless cycles of testing various values and game restarts. You'll be able to make informed decisions when editing spawn weights and group sizes of creatures in various modifications.
Control Over Creature Spawning
The mod allows you to control the spawn frequencies of both standard and mod-added creatures with reference to specific biomes. You can add any creature from your mod set to any biome (provided the internal requirements for that creature's spawning are met).
Typical Usage Scenarios
Scenario 1: A new mod makes existing creatures too rare. For example, cod has a standard spawn weight of 5 in lukewarm oceans, while the ImaginaryWaterCreatures mod adds "Happy Fish" with a weight of 20. As a result, the ocean fills with happy fish and cod disappears. Spawn Regulator Utility will help identify and fix this problem.
Scenario 2: A new mod is added, but you never see creatures from it. The tool will show the reason and allow you to adjust spawn rates so new monsters become more common.
Scenario 3: You're developing a new mod and want to set optimal default spawn weight values. Spawn Regulator Utility will simplify the selection of appropriate parameters.
Scenario 4: You want to quickly fix the most problematic cases where spawn weights are too high or too low. The mod allows you to quickly resolve the worst problems with creatures that either never spawn or spawn too frequently. By default, minimum and maximum spawn weight limits are set - 5 and 80 respectively.
Additional Functions
The mod now includes an option to increase existing spawn weights to a configurable minimum value. It can also add zombified piglins and ghasts to Nether biomes if they are missing there. Some biomes are currently almost empty, and this feature helps restore the normal danger level.
