Spawn Here
This mod introduces special blocks where mobs spawn, completely replicating the vanilla Minecraft spawning mechanics.
This solution becomes particularly useful for SkyBlock servers, where standard mob spawning attempts can create significant CPU load. The problem lies specifically in the process of searching for suitable spawning locations, not in the already spawned mobs. Spawn Here solves this issue by allowing you to disable the doMobSpawning game rule while maintaining the ability for creatures to appear in the usual way.
The gameplay changes somewhat, as mobs can now only spawn on specially placed blocks. If configuration settings are not activated, all standard spawning rules remain in effect - light levels, being in water, and other factors are taken into account. Options are also available to change the base spawn rate for each block type.
The mod offers four types of blocks corresponding to the main creature categories in Minecraft:
- Hostile mobs
- Peaceful creatures
- Flying entities
- Water inhabitants
