Imagine a completely new way to play Minecraft where you control your character using voice commands! The Speechcraft mod turns your voice into the primary game control tool.
Usage Features
To play, you'll need a microphone - without it, the mod won't function. Voice recognition quality directly depends on your microphone quality. Also note that results may vary depending on your accent. Currently, only English is supported.
Available Voice Commands
Movement
- Move Forward - forward movement
- Move Backward - backward movement
- Move Left - left movement
- Move Right - right movement
- Stop/End - cancel current action
- Jump - jump
- Sneak - toggle sneak mode
Item Interaction
- Attack - attack with item/weapon (left click)
- Break - break blocks (hold left click)
- Use - use item or activate block (right click)
- Hold - continuous item use (food, bows, etc.)
- Drop - drop selected item
- Swap - move items from offhand
Interface and Navigation
- Select/Slot [1-9] - select hotbar slot
- Inventory - open inventory
- Chat - open chat
- Pick - pick block (middle mouse)
Technical Features
The mod file size may seem unusually large - this is because it includes all necessary speech recognition models and components. These are the technical requirements of the system.
Although this mod was originally created as a joke as part of the "dumb Minecraft mods" series, it's fully functional and ready for use.
The developer notes that the mod won't receive updates, bug fixes, or ports to other versions, but it has an open license, allowing other developers to continue its development if desired.
