Spellblades and Such

This mod is designed for Fabric and requires several dependencies: Architectury, Geckolib, Spell Power, Spell Engine, Runes, and Player-Animator. For the best gaming experience, it is recommended to additionally install Better Combat, Adaptive Tooltips, and Wizards.

The mod introduces three types of magical weapons into the game: spellblades, magical greatswords, and magical orbs. Each type possesses a unique set of spells.

Spellblades deal additional damage equal to 2/3 of your corresponding magical attribute in melee attacks and can use quick close-range spells.

Magical greatswords deal 100% additional damage from your magical attribute, cannot be dual-wielded, and possess spells with increased area of effect or projectile count. Each sword initially has a spin attack of the corresponding element.

Magical orbs do not deal additional damage, but their spells feature enormous area of effect and incredible versatility.

To apply spells to weapons, place the item in a Spell Binding Table surrounded by bookshelves, similar to an enchantment table. There is a more economical way to obtain runic ingots using corresponding metal blocks.

Runic armor enhances resistance to a specific damage type and provides absorption proportional to the number of armor pieces worn. The effect activates 5 seconds after complete absorption depletion.

The mod also adds the Hexblade faction, which may invade depending on the amount of magical damage you have dealt. At the beginning of a potential invasion, a scout appears offering to avoid conflict through purchasing goods. There is a cooldown period between invasions that can shorten with active spell usage.

Enemies from the Hexblade faction can rarely drop a Prismatic Effigy, summoning Magus if he is not already present in the world. Magus is vulnerable only to the damage type he is currently using (determined by the color of his robes and the element of his blade), resisting other damage types by 95%. Upon defeat, he leaves an item of his Primordial Robes.

The Primordial set features an enhanced version of the runic armor absorption mechanic with the additional effect of elemental novas, the frequency of which depends on the number of set pieces worn.

To disable Hexblade invasions, use the command /gamerule hexbladeInvade false.
