Spore Addon: Nightmare - Enhancing the Fungal Infection Threat

This addon requires the main Fungal Infection: Spore mod for proper operation. If the standard version of the mod seems insufficiently challenging for you, Nightmare will provide a real test even for experienced players.

New Dangerous Mechanics

The mod introduces several devastating effects that significantly complicate survival:

Panic: This effect is similar to fear from parasites, but much more intense and exhausting.

Swarmed: Allows enemies to attack you more frequently, reducing invulnerability periods between hits. The effect intensifies with each level.

Vulnerability: Certain damage types completely ignore protection and deal pure damage. Also strengthens with increasing level.

Incubator and Enemy Evolution

Incubator: Upon reaching level 10, deals 25% of maximum health as damage that ignores invulnerability frames. Creates a fungal mound and scent trail near the player. Each level above 10 deals additional damage. Destructive explosions instantly add 5 levels.

Evolved mobs can now destroy more durable blocks, including wooden materials. For protection, it's recommended to use stone or cobblestone.

Adaptation and Immunities

Enemies possess a potion effect adaptation mechanism. Hyper-evolved creatures and calamities (bosses) become immune to potion effects after the first exposure and receive damage reduction for each adaptation. Fire damage remains effective against this protection.

Mycelium infection has become significantly more dangerous for mobs - it now automatically reapplies after expiration (does not affect players), requiring constant monitoring of surrounding creatures.

Planned Updates

Changes for calamities (bosses) are in development: reduction of received ranged damage and increase of melee attack damage.
