Stellar Sky
Stellar Sky - Realistic Sky for Minecraft
The Stellar Sky mod completely transforms the sky in Minecraft, making it as close as possible to real cosmic space. Instead of the standard skybox, you'll get real twinkling stars, planets, and even the Milky Way!
Main Features
Realistic Celestial Space - multi-colored twinkling stars, sun and moon with natural movement across the sky, Milky Way galaxy
Flexible Configuration - ability to change day and year length, along with many other parameters
Additional Elements - horizontal, equatorial, and ecliptic grids for spatial orientation
Time Information Panel - activated by pressing 'U' key and shows current time (requires Stellar API)
Interface Configuration - access to settings directly in the game
Latest versions include compatibility with other sky-changing mods. To activate, set the Render_Other_Modded_Skybox parameter to true in dimension settings.

Main Configuration Parameters
stellarsky.cfg
Client Settings:
- Mag_Limit: reducing limiting magnitude can significantly improve FPS
- Twinkling(Turbulance): intensity of star twinkling effect (doesn't affect performance)
- Brightness Contrast: increasing brightness of faint stars without FPS impact
Server Settings:
- Server_Enabled: activation of sky changes on server side
- Offsets(Start time): initial time configuration via YearOffset / DayOffset / TickOffset
Dimension Settings
You can add any dimension for Stellar Sky functionality by specifying its name in the Applied_Dimensions list in world settings configuration.
Configuration Lock
Sky settings can be locked via the Lock button or /locksky command. After this, main parameters (day length, year length) cannot be changed, so be careful!
Compatibility and Dependencies
Stellar Sky requires Stellar API installation to work. Pay attention to the version in the file name on CurseForge - usually the latest versions of Stellar Sky and Stellar API are compatible with each other.
Installation of Photoptics mod is recommended for using binoculars and telescopes that allow detailed observation of faint stars.
Compatibility with Other Mods
Stellar Sky is compatible with most mods, except those that use non-standard sky modification methods. Version for 1.12.1 added partial compatibility with shader mods - to activate, enable the Render_Other_Modded_Sky parameter in dimension settings.
Performance
If you experience performance issues, try reducing the Mag_Limit parameter (value 4.0 is usually optimal).
