To create a chest from a specific type of stone, simply use the standard recipe for a regular chest, replacing wooden planks with the stone block of your choice.

The cobblestone chest deserves special attention - it is particularly economical to create, as it requires stone slabs instead of full cobblestone blocks for crafting.
