STRAIGHT LINE CHALLENGE FEATURES
You're facing a unique Minecraft challenge — the Straight Line Challenge! Your main goal is to defeat the Ender Dragon while moving exclusively along a straight line from your spawn point until game completion.
Core Challenge Rules
Player movement is strictly limited: any position changes to the north or south are completely blocked. During world generation, your spawn point is placed directly east or west of the stronghold's portal room. If you plan to use Nether travel, be prepared — entry portals are positioned immediately on the eastern or western side of the nearest Blaze spawner locations.
Important Practical Considerations
For bed placement, required positioning is exclusively along your movement line. Meanwhile, various transportation methods remain available: boats, minecarts, and horses — however they automatically shift to your straight line when mounted and inherit the same movement restrictions. Ender Pearls remain functional and follow similar movement rules.
Additional Features and Nuances
- The challenge welcomes company — multiplayer mode allows all players to complete the challenge along the same line
- If needed, you can freely switch to spectator mode for temporary escape from the "straight line trap"
- Be aware that Nether portals have an increased chance of spawning inside Netherrack due to specific placement requirements
- Eye of Ender behavior is modified — now it directly targets the End portal instead of the stronghold's initial section
- Using the /locate command might return coordinates for a different stronghold than your targeted one
- The End Spike circle in the End has been rotated specifically to eliminate the need for overcoming obstacles
