Subterranean Switcheroo
Welcome to Subterranean Switcheroo (or just "subswitch" if you're too lazy to say the full name).
This mod was created to be easily added to large modpacks without needing to rework recipes or significantly alter world generation. It balances vanilla resource quantities to match the demands of tech mods in large packs. Though with leather, you're still on your own... For now...
Key Features
Fusion Ores
The fusion ore system works simply. For example, red-iron ore can be processed into either redstone or iron—depending on your current needs. All fusion ores are immune to Fortune enchantment and automated ore processing, allowing you to use them immediately without waiting for perfect production chains. They generate in addition to regular ores, increasing the overall amount of available resources.
Nether Changes and New Ores
Fans of my previous mods will appreciate that improved versions of Nicer Nether and Obsidian Ore are included in SubSwitch. Obsidian ores now look and behave better, and the Nether has a more vanilla feel while retaining decorative blocks and Netherrack tools. Clay ore has also been added—because mining clay with a pickaxe makes more sense than just using a shovel.
Sifting
Two tiers of sifting tools have been added—wooden and iron. The wooden ones break quickly, but the iron ones last forever. Sifting gravel yields flint, and blue flowers found throughout the world slowly transform into lapis lazuli. This method also allows extracting additional redstone from fusion ores and breaking obsidian into fragments.
