Superb Steeds

The Superb Steeds mod fundamentally changes the horse system in Minecraft, making them more useful and eliminating tedious aspects.

Main Features

Instead of random characteristics when breeding, each horse now has speed and jump stats ranging from 1 to 5. These values are displayed in an expanded horse inventory interface.

Statistics improve while riding the horse with a saddle - the more you ride, the better your steed's characteristics become.

Control and Management

You can now control horses even without a saddle, although such riding won't count toward training. Saddles prevent being thrown off the horse.

Conveniences

Feeding horses has become easier - just interact with them with food (excluding hay bales) while riding and looking down.

All horses have standard 15 hearts instead of variable amounts. Leather armor allows horses to safely move over powder snow.

Special Improvements

Skeleton horses are no longer slowed by soul sand. Llamas can be trained to increase inventory slots by simply leading them around.
