Superior Smithing (Mindthemood's Modified Marvels)

Although Mojang added smithing to the game, this mod was created earlier and offers a more advanced equipment enhancement system.

Equipment Enhancement Through Smithing Table

The system allows modifying weapons, tools, and armor using special templates and materials. Unlike the vanilla version, here modifications provide not only cosmetic changes but also real gameplay advantages.

Enhancement Templates

You can find 14 different templates (plus dyed variants) in the world, each offering unique capabilities:

• Original templates from structures can be used up to 3 times or create up to 9 copies
• Copied templates are consumed in one use
• Rare templates can be found in various structures throughout the world
• More common variants are available from traders and villagers

Enhancement Types

Each material provides unique bonuses:

• Leather binding - dyeing, freeze protection, slight speed increase
• Copper reinforcement - significant durability increase
• Iron rivets - balance of durability and efficiency with slight speed reduction
• Gold gilding - improved enchantability and efficiency at the cost of durability
• Diamond jeweling - universal improvement of all characteristics
• Netherite forging - fire resistance and high durability
• Echo shards - ability to retain items after death
• Phantom membrane - extreme speed at the cost of fragility
• Nautilus - underwater and rain bonuses
• Redstone - cyclic buffs and debuffs
• Lapis - random daily enchantments
• Shulker - automatic equipment and protection while sneaking
• Ethereal upgrade - highest level with protection at the cost of experience

New Enchantments

The mod adds several unique enchantments:

• Lunar effigy - damage depends on moon phase
• Life sink - health regeneration when killing
• Throwback - repelling enemies when blocking with shield
• Vengeance - damage accumulation when blocking
• Hotfoot - creating pumice from lava
• Frost aspect - freezing enemies
• Chill - freezing with arrows
• Spite - increased damage at low health
• Momentum - mining acceleration during prolonged work
• Curse of severing - increased break chance
• Curse of justice - damage increase with recoil

Additional Features

Grindstone received expanded functionality:

• Efficient repair of two identical items
• Ability to remove enchantments and modifications
• Curse removal
• Durability restoration when removing enhancements

Mob loot has been overhauled - enemies are now better equipped and drop their items (heavily damaged).

Sound effects added for crafting table - different materials produce unique sounds when crafting.
