Survivor's Elegy

Welcome to Survivor's Elegy — an extensive datapack that brings harmony and exciting innovations to your survival world! This project fundamentally changes the familiar gameplay by adding numerous interesting mechanics and possibilities.

Core Game Mechanics

Enter the command /function siscu:config in the chat to open the settings menu and personalize your gaming experience.

Extended Daylight

Adjust the length of the day to your preference! Thanks to the configuration menu, you can make your days more measured and calm. By default, the day now lasts 40 minutes.

Decomposition Process

Zombified creatures gradually decompose, turning into a pile of bones. This system also adds new skeleton variants: piglin skeletons, illager skeletons, husk skeletons, and many others!

Withering Effect

Creatures from the Overworld that stay in the Nether for a long time are affected by a dangerous disease — withering! This slow death can be prevented by returning to other dimensions, where affected creatures gradually heal. The effect can also be delayed by consuming warped wart food, which extends the period of immunity. But be careful! Excessive consumption of such food causes side effects.

Zombification

An infected zombie has been added, capable of transmitting a virus to other creatures! Mobs affected by the Phage effect slowly turn into their zombified counterparts. If no such entity exists, they die from poisoning. Players can also be infected — stay vigilant!

Cauldron Cooking

A culinary revolution has arrived with the introduction of the Ladle, which turns ordinary cauldrons into full-fledged cooking pots! Mix various foods in boiling water to create unique broths. One potion can be added to the mixture, creating the super-food of your dreams!

World Changes

Updated Swamp Hut

Swamp huts have always been boring. This pack transforms them into full-fledged houses with multiple enemies, rich loot, and valuable information!

New Nether Biome: Withered Lands

A dark, desolate biome with vast numbers of undead and withered corpses. Be prepared for dangerous adventures — withering awaits at every turn!

New Nether Biomes: Metamorphic Caves

Why do blazes only spawn in Nether fortresses? In this datapack, they break out of their cages and inhabit this extremely hot biome, where fire springs are common and lava rivers cover the ground.

Expanded Nether Fortresses

Nether fortresses have been redesigned and now represent abandoned forts, refuges filled with withered corpses. A decayed portal sits at the center of the city...

Desert Wells

Desert wells now reward the player if a golden ingot is dropped into them. This works only once.

Piglin Crevices

Blackstone towers split in half, held together by massive chains. Teeming with piglins, brutes, and treasure!

No Spawners

Survivor's Elegy strives to completely remove spawners from standard world generation. This helps balance progression by removing experience farms from the equation. Currently, spawners only appear for magma cubes in bastions and silverfish in strongholds.

Creatures and Items

• Illagers now equip torches in their off-hand when in dark places.
• Endermen can spawn holding various blocks from all dimensions.
• When breeding, pigs give birth to 1-4 piglets.
• Zombies, drowneds, husks, skeletons, wither skeletons, piglins, and zombified piglins now spawn with new equipment.
• Wandering trader llamas can spawn already chested and with different carpets.
• Players, piglins, hoglins, and zoglins now drop their heads if killed by a charged creeper.

Sculk Plant

A plant-like entity that can be placed on decorated pots. Its favorite food is experience, which is very convenient for storing your accumulated points!

Mirage

The mirage copies everything you want to display. A deployable illusion for showcasing items without the need to place them!

Enchanter's Guide

This special book now replaces the regular book in the enchanting table recipe, serving as the magical source of the enchanting process.

Netherite Horse Armor

Upgrade diamond horse armor in the smithing table to get more durable equipment for your steed!

Copper Tridents

Tridents can now be crafted by upgrading a lightning rod with a heart of the sea.

Outpost Compass

Dropped by pillager patrol leaders on duty, it points to the nearest pillager outpost.
