Sweety's Archaeology
Sweety's Archaeology is a compact Minecraft expansion that enhances the archaeology experience by adding unique excavation sites and useful artifacts to be discovered.
General Improvements
Quality of Life Features:
- Brushing archaeology blocks now grants experience points (configurable)
- Most structures from this mod no longer drop items one by one as vanilla structures do. Some resources may drop in larger quantities, especially common ones
- Abandoned mines may sometimes contain maps to nearby Ruined Mines

Items and Blocks
Archaeology Maps: Can be found in cartographer chests or obtained from cartographers and wandering traders. They point to various mod structures (except Ruined Mines) or Trail Ruins.
Tuff Podiums: Display blocks for showing off items, crafted from tuff blocks and any wool.
Artifacts (found in new structures):
- Flint Tools: Mostly decorative artifacts, similar to how chainmail works for armor
- Fossilized Egg: Primarily decorative item, can be thrown to inflict Nausea effect
- Golden Cube: While in the hotbar, repairs equipped armor and held tools at the cost of its durability. Does not repair shields during block
- Spider Amulet: Used to summon temporary minions in the form of golden spiders
- Broken Clock: Delays death when killed, giving extra time to save items from lava or deal a final blow to monsters
- Climbing Pickaxe: Enables easier vertical movement and overall enhances mobility
- Expired Miner Potion: Luck potion that may grant buffs, debuffs, or amusing random events. Occasionally may destroy surrounding blocks!
- Ancient Berries: Grant the Venomous effect, making you immune to poison while inflicting it on your targets
- Weather Totems: Mostly decorative artifacts that allow changing weather conditions

Structures
Ruined Mines
Main Rewards: Climbing Pickaxe, Expired Miner Potion, "Rascal" music disc (found in chunks, equivalent to 1/4 of disc), haste or night vision potions.
Ruined Mines typically generate near the surface but are buried underground.
Ruined Mines are smaller, buried counterparts to standard mines, obstructed by gravel. These structures are much smaller than vanilla mines and typically consist of 3-5 corridors. They do not affect vanilla mine generation. Maps to them can be found in regular mines.
Common items found in Ruined Mines include mostly mining tools and ores. Items from minecart loot tables may occasionally appear.
Spruce Cabins
Main Rewards: Broken Clock, Chirp / Mall / Strad / Far music discs.
Spruce Cabins spawn in taiga and pine forests. These are ruined houses, typically easy to spot at night due to leftover lanterns. Items can be found deep beneath them in what was likely a basement.
Standard discoveries include biome-specific resources, mushrooms, or gold.
Prehistoric Remains
Main Rewards: Flint Tools, Fossilized Egg, Ancient Berries, Nautilus Shells, Skeleton Skulls, Sniffer Seeds.
Prehistoric Remains are rarely spotted in most forests. They're identified by patches of coarse dirt and gravel on the ground. Digging a few blocks down reveals a buried fossil.
Typically found here are basic resources and tools, bones, and other decayed materials.
Desert Outposts
Main Rewards: Spider Amulet, Golden Cube, Dune Armor Trim, Horse Armors.
Desert Outposts can be spotted in deserts, mostly covered by sand. The tallest tower is usually visible from the surface, making them detectable.
Common finds include basic resources and golden items, plus pottery sherds, emeralds, and rarely diamonds.
Ritual Grounds
Main Rewards: Weather Totems, Ancient Berries, Fossilized Egg, Goat Horn, Flint Axe/Sword, Skeleton Skulls.
Ritual Grounds are randomly generated Stonehenge-like structures rarely found in most forests. Most resources are located on the ground near the surface.
Typically found here are basic gems (emeralds, amethysts), bones, and flint.
