Take Back the Night

Fabric Requirements: Requires Fabric API version 0.15.11 or newer.

Forge Requirements: Needs Sinytra Connector. Considering how compact this mod is, a direct Forge port might be developed.

This modification adds a Herobrine boss to the game, inspired by the Mutant concept from Fargo's Souls mod. If you're not familiar with it, it's a Terraria-style boss that combines attacks from all vanilla enemies. This idea formed the foundation of the created mod.

Summoning

To summon this character, build a classic Herobrine altar.

Herobrine Summon

The altar accepts the following blocks:

  • Top: Netherrack
  • Sides: Any torch
  • Base: Any beacon block

Attacks

  • Sonic Clap: Teleports in front of you and creates a sonic shockwave, similar to the warden.

Sonic Shockwave

  • Creeper Explosion: Teleports above you and activates a charged creeper explosion.

Creeper Explosion

  • Ghast Fireball: Rises into the air and summons a larger ghast fireball, which is then launched at you.

Ghast Fireball

  • Dragon Fire: When health falls below 50%, the ghast fireball is replaced by three slow-moving dragon fireballs.

Dragon Fireballs

  • Evoker Fangs: Stomps the ground, creating a circle of evoker fangs.

Evoker Fangs

  • Harming Potions: When health drops below half, this attack is replaced by aerial teleportation followed by a barrage of harming potions.

Harming Potions

  • Shulker Bullets: Levitates upward and creates a swarm of non-homing shulker bullets, which are then launched at the target.

Shulker Bullets

  • Wither Skulls: When health drops to 50% or below, this attack is replaced by a storm of wither skulls.

Wither Skulls

After defeating Herobrine, you receive the "Take Back the Night" achievement, plus 650 experience points for the first kill and 500 for all subsequent ones.

Note: Only one Herobrine can be active at a time.

Known Issues

  • Sometimes loading into chunks with an active Herobrine altar can cause him to spawn even if he hasn't been summoned.

Compatibility

Mob AI Tweaks Mod:

  • Follows "Crazy Mobs" game rules
  • Fully compatible with the boss summoning system and death announcements
