TaterCart
Standard minecarts in Minecraft leave much to be desired — they are considered one of the least effective transportation methods in the base game. The TaterCart mod aims to fix this situation by completely reworking minecart physics and adding numerous new features to enhance the transportation system.
A key feature of the mod is its server-side implementation — players don't need to install the mod on the client, making it compatible with vanilla clients and convenient for use in singleplayer.
Main Features
The mod offers reworked minecart physics that can be toggled on or off for each individual minecart, preserving the familiar vanilla mechanics when needed. You'll be able to connect minecarts with chains, improve rail placement, and use new types of both minecarts and rails.
Additional settings include the ability to enable item drops from minecarts similar to version 1.19, as well as damage from high-speed minecarts — both features can be activated or deactivated as desired.
