Telepost
About the Mod
Telepost functions as a standalone solution without requiring other mods. However, it supports integration with:
- GriefDefender - automatically protects posts when using /buildposts command and allows players to name posts if they have sufficient claim blocks
- WorldEdit - when creating posts via /buildposts, automatically adapts the terrain for optimal appearance
- Bluemap - when naming a post via /namepost, adds corresponding markers to the map
Core Concept
The mod creates a network of teleportation posts throughout the world with 2000-block intervals. This is a limited teleportation system where movement is only possible between special points, making world exploration more engaging and facilitating player interaction.
Commands
- /nearestpost - shows the nearest teleportation post
- /setpost - sets a home point at the nearest post
- /homepost - teleports you to your home point
- /postlist [page] - displays a paginated list of named posts
- /invite
- invites a player to your home post - /visit <Player/NamedPost> - teleports you to an invited post or named post
- /forcevisit
- forces player teleportation to a post (admins only) - /namepost
- assigns a name to the nearest post (admins only) - /unnamepost
- removes name from a post (admins only) - /buildposts - builds all posts (admins only)
Note: Post names can consist of multiple words, such as "This is an Example".
Using /buildpost
To customize post appearances, place a default.nbt file in the world/generated/structures/minecraft folder, along with additional .nbt files named after biomes, e.g., plains.nbt. Posts will be built with corresponding structures based on the biome, using the default file when specific ones are unavailable.
Permission System
- telepost.namepost - available by default with GriefDefender installed, but explicit permission allows naming posts as admin
- telepost.visit.others - allows visiting other players' home posts without invitation
- telepost.
- grants permission to use specific commands (player-friendly commands are enabled by default)
Permissions disabled by default: forcevisit, buildposts, unnamepost.
GriefDefender Integration
- /buildposts - creates protected areas around each post (3D claims) and adds them to "Posts" claim group
- Players can use /namepost once if they have more than 80,000 earned claim blocks (without consuming them). NO PERMISSION REQUIRED
Post Structures (NBT Files)
Separate NBT files are available for each biome, including standard Vanilla and Terralith biomes. Total of 133 different post variations plus a default.nbt file, which is a copy of plains.nbt.

Note: Post designs use blocks from Create and Farmers Delight mods. With these mods installed, posts look better, but you can modify .nbt files if they're unavailable.
