Tempest
Tempest
A weather system that turns your in-game sky into a real winter fairy tale! Tempest implements dynamic regional snowstorms based on noise algorithms, controlled through datapacks. These storms bring snow, freezing rain, and ice that melts after the bad weather ends.
Types of Weather Conditions
Warm and Dry
The weather delights with warmth, but don't be fooled - storm clouds will approach soon!
Warm and Humid
Endless rain, downpours, and more downpours. Although this may cause discomfort, there's no serious danger, except that strong wind might be a bit bothersome.
Cool and Dry
Although nothing falls from the sky, water begins to freeze - and thaws again when the temperature rises.
Cool and Humid
When it's too cold for rain but not cold enough for snow, freezing rain appears. It covers the ground with ice and can "freeze" your mechanisms - blocking their operation and interaction with them (to change the list of blocks affected by this effect, edit the #tempest:freezes_up tag).
Moderate Temperature with Heavy Precipitation - Especially During Thunderstorms
Hail can damage glass, crops, and flowers, as well as cause inconvenience when walking. To configure vulnerable blocks, change the #tempest:breaks_with_hail tag.
Cold and Humid
A snowstorm has begun! Snow, snow, and more snow - snowdrifts begin to accumulate, creating dangerous areas with loose snow. Although the snow will melt after the storm passes, it might take some time...
