Templates

The Templates modification is a special API that allows blocks to change their appearance by adopting the textures of other blocks. Currently, the mod includes only simple slopes, which are crafted from five bamboo sticks and one string.

Template blocks can be placed in the world, and then, by right-clicking with a full-sized block in hand, you can set the textures of the selected block for them. Template blocks automatically inherit the light level and redstone readings from the blocks assigned to them. Additionally, you can add glow or redstone signal to any template block by using glowstone dust or a redstone torch, respectively.
