Terrain Crystals

The Terrain Crystals modification enables players to create large crystal-shaped islands using various standard Minecraft biomes. The crystals not only transform existing biomes into new ones but also add decorative elements characteristic of them.

Available Biomes

Plains - Generates grass, flowers, as well as birch and oak trees. Converts the biome to plains.

Taiga - Creates an island of dirt, podzol, coarse dirt and grass with spruce saplings on the surface. Converts to cold taiga (allows snow).

End - Forms an island of end stone with ruined obsidian structures. Converts to end biome.

Nether - Creates an island of netherrack, soul sand and gravel. Mushrooms can spawn if dark enough. Converts to hell biome.

Mushroom Island - Forms an island of mycelium with red and brown mushrooms, with a chance of giant mushrooms appearing. Converts to mushroom biome.

Ice Plains Spikes - Creates an island of snow and stone with random structures and packed ice pillars. Converts to ice plains.

Jungle - Forms an island of grass and dirt with a chance of jungle "bushes", trees, melons and tall grass appearing. Converts to jungle.

Swamplands - Creates an island of grass and dirt with a chance of trees and flowers appearing. Can form water pools with clay deposits, lily pads, sand and sugar cane. Converts to swamp biome.

Savanna - Vegetation similar to plains with acacias and tall grass. Converts to savanna.

Roofed Forest - Dense vegetation with large dark oaks and tall grass. Converts to roofed forest biome.

How It Works

A platform is generated under the player, and blocks are placed in the world at one radius distance in all directions. Blocks are only placed where air exists - if you accidentally activate the crystal in an unsuitable location, existing blocks won't be destroyed.

After creating a circle, the platform begins expanding downward, forming a crystal shape with random chances of generating additional blocks, giving the island a unique shape.

The surface is randomly filled with various decorative elements and blocks depending on the selected biome type.

After placing the surface, the biome changes to the type corresponding to the crystal for each column of surface blocks. This allows creating interesting biome borders!

Decorative elements and biome changes occur only on newly created surface blocks. Activation without generating new surface won't produce results.

The item's durability decreases based on the number of blocks generated, not the number of uses.

Configuration options allow enabling ore generation and stone layers for lower levels.

Diameter, durability, decorations, ore generation, stone layers and biome conversion - all of these are configurable in the settings files, giving pack creators complete control!
