Terralith

Terralith fundamentally transforms Minecraft's 1.18 world generation system, taking it to a completely new level.

Important Notes

  • Technically Terralith is compatible with William Wyther's Overhauled Overworld, Biomes O' Plenty and Oh The Biomes You'll Go, but requires Terrablender which may disrupt biome distribution
  • Compatibility with Tectonic is achieved through Apollo's Terratonic
  • Do not add to an existing world - create a new one or completely reset your current world
  • To view structures and biomes for specific seeds, use jacobsjo's Minecraft Datapack Map

Mod Features

Biomes

Terralith introduces over 95 completely new biomes while simultaneously improving and updating almost all standard vanilla biomes. The mod offers diverse landscape types: deep canyons, shattered territories, floating islands, oceanic trenches, and much more.

Yellowstone is one of Terralith's key biomes, featuring a picturesque landscape inspired by the real US national park. Among realistic biomes you can find Yosemite Cliffs, Shield plains, and many other options for every taste. Highlands and their variants provide flat surfaces for construction - from massive megacities to cozy village houses. Adventurers can conquer breathtaking Volcanic Peaks and discover beautiful Desert Oases.

Beyond realistic locations, Terralith immerses players in a world of fantasy. Travelers can wander through purple and mysterious Moonlight Groves and Amethyst Rainforests, or climb the impregnable cliffs of Scarlet Mountains. Brave sailors may find mysterious Mirage Isles or even elusive and nostalgic Alpha Islands.

The underground world hasn't been neglected either! Beneath players' feet lie unique caves similar to standard Lush Caves but with their own character. Underground Jungles abound with vegetation and sometimes hide old abandoned structures. Infested and Fungal Caves swarm with spiders and fungi! At the deepest depths, you can discover dangerous Frostfire Caves - the formidable sibling of the Deep Dark.

Structures

Various structures unite Terralith's magnificent biomes into a cohesive whole. Threatening tall Spires pierce the sky in the coldest regions. Occasionally in plains and deserts you can find Fortified Villages - evidence of village society's progress! If you get lost at night, cold and hungry, you might find shelter in a simple but warm Glacial Hut.
