Terramap
Terramap is an extension for the Terraplusplus Minecraft modification that elevates cartography to a completely new level. This tool allows displaying real-world maps directly within the game with extended functionality. Currently, the mod is in beta testing stage, so some planned features are not yet implemented.
Main Features
- Full-screen world map with raster map support
- Minimap and compass with intuitive configuration interface
- Convenient worldwide teleportation through the map
- Display of all players on the map regardless of distance
- Quick access to technical terrain information, including region coordinates
- Ability to switch between different mapping services
- Support for custom mapping endpoints with server-client configuration synchronization
Planned Updates
- Enhanced raster map support
- Geocoding functionality
- Compatibility with other modding frameworks (Forge, Fabric, Bukkit)
- Support for more modern Minecraft versions
Installation and Usage
Terramap requires installed Minecraft Forge 1.12.2, as well as mandatory dependencies: Terraplusplus, CubicChunks, and CubicWorldGen. Installation is done by simply moving the mod file to the mods folder of your Minecraft installation.
In-game, press the M key (by default) to open the full-screen map. Use dragging, zooming, and other standard navigation functions. Right-click opens a menu with useful tools. Additional features include debug mode (P key), quick teleportation (holding Control), map style configuration, and much more.
Recommendations
For optimal performance, it's recommended to install Terramap on both server and client. This ensures proper map projection synchronization. When installing only on the client, manual configuration of the used projection will be required.
