TFC Woodworking
Wood Processing Features
This mod completely transforms the approach to wood processing in the game, making the process more realistic and engaging. Instead of standard crafting, you'll interact with blocks directly.
Main Capabilities
Stripping bark from logs requires free space around - all four sides must be empty, without solid blocks. Wood chopping is only possible when there are no blocks above, adding realism to the woodworking process.
The recipe system has been redesigned for greater logic: 2 pieces of bark and 1 log produce 1 wood, while 2 pieces of bast and 1 stripped log yield stripped wood.
Special Storage
The mod adds a special log pile that can store various types of wood materials: regular logs, debarked logs, their halves and quarters. An interesting feature - if a thrown log hits the log pile, it's automatically placed inside instead of falling to the ground.
Tool Mechanics
Woodworking tools now wear out with a probability depending on their tier. This encourages players to use higher quality tools for complex work.
Compatibility
The mod supports creating canoes from FirmaCiv - this requires placing three stripped logs horizontally. They need to be stripped of bark separately beforehand.
Technical Features
For system configuration, special tags are provided (items/logs_log, items/logs_half, items/logs_quarter), allowing modification of the list of items that can be placed in custom versions of the log pile.
Planned Updates
Features under development include totem carving, as well as integration with ArborFirmaCraft and Dynamic Trees TFC mods to expand tree processing capabilities.
