This addon started as a simple adaptation of an existing modification but evolved into a full-fledged continuation of the project. The original version was created by Wahazar and aleksey, and now the mod enriches TerraFirmaCraft+ with primitive technologies in the form of a slingshot and a unique paper-making process.

Ancient Paper Production Method

Instead of the standard recipe for converting reeds into paper, the mod offers an elaborate technological process reminiscent of ancient papyrus creation.

First, reeds need to be bleached and softened in limewater, which produces cellulose fibers:

Processing 64 reeds requires 10 buckets of limewater

To create a sheet of paper, place a wooden press on the ground while crouching. Then, also while crouching, place cellulose fibers on top - this requires two units of material in hand. The final step is placing a second wooden press on top of the structure.

The fully assembled block must dry under sunlight for approximately 10 hours. Readiness is indicated by the block changing color and the paper pulp transforming from a liquid substance into solid material.

When breaking the structure, you'll get back the wooden presses and freshly made paper! Note: there's a small chance only one press will be returned, and the amount of paper obtained varies from 1 to 3 sheets.

For those who prefer classic methods, there's an option to disable this recipe and use the standard version.

Primitive Ranged Weapon: Slingshot

The mod introduces ancient ranged weaponry to the gameplay - a slingshot that uses various types of stones as ammunition:

• Hard stones (from igneous rocks) - crushing damage
• Sharp stones (from metamorphic rocks) - slashing damage
• Soft stones (from sedimentary rocks) - no damage bonuses, reduced force

Hard stone has the longest range, followed by sharp stone, with soft stone traveling the shortest distance

Creating a slingshot requires several crafting steps. A leather belt is made by cutting horizontal stripes from leather (up to 3 belts from one hide). The slingshot itself is crafted from a wooden twig and a leather belt.

The slingshot feature can be disabled in settings if desired.

Wooden Club (Primitive Mace)

The stone hammer is quite fragile and weak - defeating a skeleton might require several such tools. The wooden club, although less effective than a copper mace, significantly outperforms the stone hammer. It's the perfect solution for those who need to "sweep" old bones from their property.
