The Broken Script Patches
Important Note: This mod does not contain code, assets, or other elements from The Broken Script. It is an additional mod designed to improve the video recording or streaming experience when using the main mod.
Requirement: The main The Broken Script mod is required for this patch to work.

Default Settings Changes
This set of patches for version 1.20.1 on Forge allows configuring The Broken Script behavior through the configuration file tbspatch-common.toml. Most options can be enabled and disabled as desired.
Main changes to initial settings:
- Player banning disabled by default
- Game crashes deactivated
- VHS filter not applied automatically
- Base explosion event disabled
- Spawning of The Broken Script creatures prevented
- All random mod events initially inactive
- Jump scares disabled
- Generation of mod structures blocked
- Creatures cannot destroy blocks
These settings only affect initial values when creating a world. The in-game configuration menu of The Broken Script continues to work normally, allowing you to enable and disable features as you wish.
Various Improvements
- "Quit Game" button available again in main menu
- Ability to use in-game commands with cheats enabled
- Option to use old corrupted moon textures from The Broken Script
Bug Fixes
The following fixes are permanently active and cannot be disabled:
- Checkboxes in
/tbs_configmenu now correctly display current setting values /tbs_forcerandomeventcommand uses the same event set as the main mod engine- "Moon corruption" event now displays correctly (previously sometimes showed large pink square)
- Moon corruption event now loops properly
- Events that change in-game time no longer reset day counter to zero
Additional Features
Configuration includes options to individually enable or disable each of the 55 random events that can occur in The Broken Script.
