About the Modification

Important Note: The mod is in active development! Significant changes and additions are expected in the future.

Discover the amazing world of The Ceilands - a completely new dimension with unusual architecture! The main feature of this world is that it has a bedrock ceiling but completely lacks a bedrock floor.

To enter The Ceilands, you'll need to create a special portal activator. A hint on how to do this appears when you first obtain an Echo Shard. Find a portal frame made of Reinforced Deepslate in Ancient Cities and activate it using the portal activator.

Biomes and Structures

The dimension includes five unique biomes: Snow Roof, Ocean Orbs, Luzawood Forest, Topsy Forest, and Inverted Peaks.

Currently, several structures are available: Ceillages, Hanging Castle, and Ocean Cubes. The developers plan to add more buildings and improve existing ones.

New Resources

The mod adds two new types of wood: Ceiltrunk and Luzawood, both with unique features! Ceiltrunk, unlike regular trees, can only be planted on the ceiling. Luzawood grows traditionally from the ground. The new wood can be used to create all the same items as vanilla wooden materials.

The bulk of the ceiling part of the dimension consists of Ceilingneous - a bluish type of stone that can be used to create stone tools, furnaces, as well as stairs, slabs, and walls. Polished and brick variants of this material are also available.

Development Philosophy

• Creating a unique dimension with an unused bedrock configuration in Minecraft: presence of ceiling but absence of floor

• Preserving vanilla aesthetics - the dimension should harmoniously fit the Minecraft style
• Easy to learn while maintaining engaging gameplay
• Exploring niches not covered in the original game, such as new wood colors
