The Colormancer
The Colormancer mod presents an origin inspired by the Mistborn universe. The author adapted the mistborn concept to the vanilla Minecraft atmosphere by replacing metals with colors and using their symbolic meaning to create unique abilities.
Abilities
Using only primary colors, the origin maintains simplicity for beginners while offering a high skill ceiling that allows experienced colormancers to demonstrate true mastery.
Cyan
The cyan color represents tranquility and enhances human senses:
- Sight: Improved visibility in darkness, but bright light blinds
- Hearing: Precise detection of nearby mobs
- Taste: Food tastes better and restores more exhaustion
- Smell: In development
- Touch: Increased sensitivity to cold and heat
Magenta
Magenta combines the passion of red and the calm of violet, providing a versatile ability to attract and repel blocks and entities. You have complete control over every movement and bear responsibility for any mistakes.
Yellow
Yellow as the color of energy allows your soul to leave your body and explore the world without material constraints.
Black
The black color absorbs all light, strengthening your body and making you faster, stronger, and more resilient. However, remember: your physical body remains the same, so you'll pay the price for exceeding its capabilities.
Additional Mechanics
Future plans include implementing unique potion and investigation systems for this origin.
Investigation System
The current investigation system is implemented through Vademecum Cromaticus - an in-game guide written on a regular book. You receive this book when choosing the origin or by interacting with a lectern with a book and quill.
Potion System
The development of the potion creation system is in the planning stage.
Development Plans
Before implementing own versions of Feruchemy or Hemalurgy, the author plans to eliminate dependencies on other mods.
