The Erebus - A New Dimension in Minecraft
The Erebus mod introduces players to a completely new dimension to explore, filled with unique creatures, items to craft, and uncharted territories. The developers also plan to implement an intricate magic system and numerous dungeons.
This dimension is fully adapted for survival - you can start the game from scratch right here, though this is not recommended due to the increased danger of local mobs. The artificial intelligence of creatures varies greatly, and even peaceful mobs can pose a threat.
The mod works excellently with other modifications and is compatible with both magical and technical addons. You can activate various ores commonly used in mods: copper, tin, silver, lead, and aluminum, allowing you to fully settle in this world.
How to Reach the Erebus Dimension
To create a portal, you'll need to complete several steps:
First, craft an Offering Altar (use smooth stone in the corners!):
The altar transforms three items into one (recipes can be viewed through NEI). To create the Gaean Stone needed for portal activation, you'll need obsidian, an emerald, and a diamond. Right-click the altar with these items in your hand to place them inside.
To retrieve an item, hold Shift and right-click with an empty hand - the item will pop out.
After obtaining the Gaean Stone, craft the Staff of Gaea (previously known as Portal Activator):
Now let's move on to building the portal itself!
You'll need a Gaean Keystone:
Create a portal frame from almost any blocks (except leaves). Get creative - any shape will work, it doesn't even have to be vertical!
Fill the space with leaves (any leaves will work, even from other mods):
Place the Keystone in front of the portal:
Now right-click the Keystone using your Staff of Gaea!
Jump through and enjoy the adventure! (or perish in it)
