The Fifth World

The era of the Fourth World has ended, and the time has come for the Fifth World, populated by superhumans from the planet... Minecraft?

The Fifth World is an extensive genetics mod that will allow you to obtain and create superpowers using capabilities from Lucraft Core and other mods, as well as unique features it brings itself. Currently, it implements a simple DNA combination and superpower creation system. Essentially, you can create your own superpowers right during gameplay!

How to Use

To begin, you'll need special equipment. Create an injection gun, microscope, centrifuge, and several vials.

Injection Gun Recipe Microscope Recipe Centrifuge Recipe Vial Recipe

After creating the equipment, take a vial in one hand and the injection gun in the other, then right-click. This will attach the vial to the gun.

Vial Installation Vial Attached

Now you can collect a blood sample by hitting a mob with the gun. A cow is an excellent choice to start with.

Blood Collection Sample Obtained

After obtaining the blood sample, right-click with the gun in hand to extract the vial. Then place it in the microscope.

Vial Extraction Vial in Microscope

In the microscope, you can select one of three genes to extract from the blood sample. When hovering over genes, their type and quality are displayed. After extracting a gene, you have two options: either collect a sample from another mob and extract its gene, or proceed to the centrifuge.

The centrifuge performs three main functions. The first is gene combination. Place two different genes on opposite sides of the centrifuge. After brief spinning, you'll get an empty vial and a combined gene.

Gene Combination Combination Result

You can also combine two vials with genes of the same type to improve the quality of the final result.

When you have a vial with the desired genes, it's time to use them. But first, be sure to save your work! Place the gene vial on the left in the centrifuge and an empty vial on the right - this way you can create a copy!

Creating a Copy Copy Ready

Now that you have a backup of your gene collection, you can conduct tests. If you're feeling brave, you can test the genes on yourself.

But be careful! Hidden defects may lurk in the genes you've collected! These defects range from annoying to catastrophic and remain completely undetectable until activation, which may occur immediately or when certain conditions are met. To understand what awaits you, it's better to first test the genes on someone more... expendable.

Testing on Villager

Collect your test subject's blood and mix it with the gene vial in the centrifuge.

Mixing with Blood Mixture Ready

Then take a piece of paper for notes. Load the injection gun with the blood and gene mixture and hit the test subject with it. What do you mean it's smoking? No time to figure it out! Quickly "trade" the piece of paper for research notes!

Getting Notes Research Data

Perhaps it should have been mentioned that villager DNA doesn't handle defects well. At least you got valuable research data for the cost of just 75 negative karma points! Now you won't be able to recover your genes after the explosion, but you have a backup copy!

Backup Copy Using Copy

As seen from the notes, there were indeed defects in our genes! Yes, you might have killed an innocent priest, but if you had used the genes on yourself, you could have developed dietary restrictions or constantly dropped items!

Continue experiments until you create the perfect gene. Then collect your own blood by holding Shift and left-clicking with an empty injection gun. Mix it with the genes the same way as with the villager, and inject it into yourself using the same method! Now you have superpowers!

Note: If you make a mistake, you can clear a vial by holding Shift and right-clicking.

Future Plans

  • Creating new abilities until each entity type has 3 or more suitable genes
  • Implementing random ability acquisition
  • Creating villagers with innate abilities
  • Displaying abilities on villagers
  • Implementing head bombs
  • Ability to control villagers using head bombs
  • Methods to disable created abilities
  • Additional abilities!
