After defeating the Ender Dragon once more and transforming the Dragon Egg into Dragon Crystals, you'll discover the weapon that once accompanied you long ago. Raise it, adventurer—The Last Sword You Never Forgot.
This mod is a remaster created with permission from the original official version, bringing The Last Sword Mod to Forge 1.20.1. Most of the code was generated using MCreator, but starting from release 1.0.0, most MCreator code has been refactored and removed. The classic textures belong to the original author queenofsquiggles.
Unlike the Fabric version branch, this mod offers a new vision of gameplay for The Last Sword Mod in version 1.20.1, including ideas relevant to this era of Minecraft.
What's Different Compared to the Old 1.7.10 Version?
New Look with Classic Options
Completely revamped textures! For players who prefer nostalgia, the built-in "The Last Sword Classic Texture Pack" is available, allowing you to use the original textures from version 1.7.10.
Enhanced Modpack Compatibility
The mod introduces a JSON crafting system that gives complete freedom to customize recipes for each level of swords and armor. The system is fully compatible with JEI. Numerous configurable options have also been added for customizing The Last Sword's characteristics and functionality.
Balance for Modern Versions
Since most mods in Minecraft 1.20.1 have significantly reduced damage values compared to older versions, the base damage values in this mod have also been substantially decreased:
- Dragon Crystal Sword: 12
- Dragon Sword: 100
- The Last Sword: 200
New Mechanics and Abilities
Levels: Weapons and armor now have levels, each providing different characteristics depending on configuration settings. Items at level 6 and above are considered "high-level" and significantly enhance their attributes.
Extra Damage: Calculated by multiplying the weapon's level by a configurable value. By default, each level below 6 adds 200 extra damage, while levels 6 and above add 1024 damage per level. This damage has independent calculation and is unaffected by standard damage enhancements.
Extra Protection: Dragon Crystal Armor provides enhanced protection calculated based on armor level. By default, each armor level below 6 grants +2 protection, +2 armor toughness, and +1 health.
Absolute Destruction Damage: A new damage type that ignores standard defense mechanics, including armor values, Protection enchantment, and Resistance effects. Creatures killed by this damage trigger a special "End Death" event.

The Last End Sword Wraith is a knight specifically designed for duels with powerful bosses. However, it's not invulnerable—it quickly falls against large groups of enemies or when exposed to fire.
Legend: According to legends, when adventurers perish in the End, those whose souls are strong enough and retain attachments fall into the void of the End dimension. Over time, forgetting who they were, the wielder of The Last Sword tears through dimensional barriers, making contracts with these lost souls and granting them physical forms to return to the Overworld.
Skills:
- Double Strike: Two attacks—physical and magical damage
- Enchant: Enhancing the sword with End power for 30 seconds
- Swift Dash: Forward dash dealing damage
- Cross Slash: Powerful combination of horizontal and vertical attacks

In the End dimension, you can explore various structures to obtain materials needed for upgrading The Last Sword.
How to Play?
- First, you need to decompose the Dragon Egg into Dragon Crystals, then create the Dragon Crystal Upgrade Template. You'll need many Dragon Eggs, so prepare for multiple dragon victories.
- Then on the standard Minecraft smithing table, similar to upgrading diamond gear to netherite, you need to place items to upgrade netherite gear to Dragon Crystal gear.
- Next, you'll need to create the added Dragon Crystal Smithing Table and gradually upgrade the Dragon Crystal Sword.
Important: When reaching levels 6 and 13, the sword transforms into the Dragon Sword and The Last Sword respectively. The Dragon Sword deals magical damage, while The Last Sword deals out-of-world damage. The amount of damage increase with each upgrade can be changed in the configuration file.
