The Monk Mod

This modification was created specifically for Modjnam 2018 and offers a unique gaming experience inspired by Eastern spiritual practices.

Main Features

Become a true monk in the world of Minecraft! The mod provides numerous exclusive abilities:

• Break blocks with bare hands without using tools
• Forgo armor in favor of natural protection
• Catch arrows mid-flight
• Teleport short distances in Dishonored style
• Walk on water surface as if on land
• Unique interaction with creepers
• Special relationships with skeletons

And this is far from a complete list of available abilities!

Progression System

Begin your spiritual journey by breaking a wooden log with an empty hand. You will immediately receive your first achievement (they can be viewed in the ESC menu). The achievement system serves as your guide on the path to enlightenment.

A total of 20 development levels are available. Each level is accompanied by a mini-quest, upon successful completion of which a new ability is unlocked.

Gameplay Features

The mod is designed for playing without traditional tools and armor (bows are allowed). Some abilities become available only when completely abandoning armor and tools.

It is recommended to play in survival mode, as some quests cannot be completed in creative mode.
