The Plopper
Functionality
The Plopper block is designed for automatic collection of items that are about to disappear from the world. It operates within a specific action radius, which by default is 2 blocks in all directions. However, this radius can be expanded using special upgrades. Each upgrade adds 2 blocks to the coverage area, reaching a maximum of 16 blocks with 7 upgrades installed. The coverage zone forms a cube and extends in all directions: north, south, east, west, up, and down.
This diagram shows a cross-section of The Plopper's action zone (white indicates standard radius, black indicates maximum with upgrades):

Collected items can be retrieved by right-clicking the block, or by connecting pipes for automatic output. It's important to note that The Plopper is designed only for item output - you cannot place items into it from outside. This is not a storage system, but a specialized collector.
Demonstration
This video shows the block in action. Birch planks mark the boundaries of the zone within which The Plopper can collect items (note that items dropped outside this zone don't disappear with smoke particles).
As seen in the demonstration, the block features sound and visual effects when collecting items. Both types of effects can be disabled through the configuration file.
The Plopper integrates well with pipeline systems! This example shows operation with Itemducts from Thermal Expansion. By default, item output is only possible through the bottom side of the block, but this limitation can also be changed in settings. (The lever is not a required element for The Plopper's operation)
Crafting Recipes
The Plopper is crafted using the following recipe (ingredient placement order doesn't matter):

The range upgrade is crafted using this recipe (ingredient order is not important):

Configuration Settings
- bypassOutputSide - When set to true, The Plopper will output items through all sides instead of just the bottom (Default: false)
- displayParticles - Determines whether particles should be displayed when collecting items (Default: true)
- playSound - Enables or disables sound effects when collecting items (Default: true)
This mod is allowed for use in any modpack.
