The Twilight Forest - Deforestation Edition
Compatibility Notes
When using VintageFix, it's recommended to disable the mixin.bugfix.entity_disappearing parameter in the vintagefix.properties file - this resolves the issue with disappearing entities. For optimal performance, we suggest installing Alfheim Lighting Engine, as the standard lighting system significantly slows down the generation of complex structures in this mod.
Project History
This fork became a logical continuation of the development of the cult mod The Twilight Forest for Minecraft version 1.12.2. Although the original project officially supports newer game versions, the 1.12.2 version nearly stopped receiving updates. We decided to continue its development by fixing the most noticeable issues.
Initially, our task was modest - to fix door and trapdoor textures, but over time the project expanded. Now we offer integration with CraftTweaker and have made many other improvements.
Known Features
Most of the Twilight Tweaks functionality is already included in our fork. Detailed examples of working with the mod's systems can be found in the relevant sections. We continue to actively develop the project and welcome your bug reports and improvement suggestions.
What is The Twilight Forest
Imagine a portal to a mysterious twilight realm where endless forests stretch to the horizon. Every turn conceals breathtaking landscapes and amazing discoveries. However, be cautious - not all forest inhabitants will warmly welcome your intrusion.
The Twilight Forest is a complete modified dimension focused on adventure and exploration. You'll embark on an exciting journey where you'll encounter strange creatures, explore dungeons, and much more.
Key features:
- Branching dungeon systems with unique architecture
- Diverse boss battles requiring tactical approaches
- Unique treasures and loot with special properties
- Homage to classic modding - the project started back in 2011
- Constant updates and functionality development
How to Start Playing
To access the twilight forest world, you need to build a special portal. After activating it, you'll be able to set off to explore new lands!
The portal can be built in any shape and size. The only mandatory conditions:
- The foundation must consist of natural blocks: grass, dirt, podzol, mycelium
- Plants must be placed on the blocks: flowers, mushrooms, leaves
- The entire structure must be filled with water
Remember: creativity is encouraged - experiment with portal shapes and sizes!
