Tidal Mod: Dynamic Sea Waves for Minecraft
Reveal the true power of the ocean with the Tidal mod! This innovative modification brings water spaces to life by creating realistic tidal waves that can be found everywhere — from cozy sand beaches to rocky coastlines.
Key Features:
- Realistic wave generation on all water bodies
- Particularly noticeable and powerful waves along the shoreline
- Visual effects of waves crashing against rocks and other obstacles
- Waves glowing at night during the full moon period
- Support for custom textures through resource packs
Important Information for Users:
Tidal is under active development! Currently, this is an alpha version, so some malfunctions may occur. Developers are constantly working on optimizing and improving the wave generation system. If you experience issues with wave appearance or unusual behavior, try reloading chunks using keys F3 + A.
Technical Requirements: Requires Fabric API to function. Future versions may require a configuration parameter library.
Resource Pack Setup:
Wave textures can be customized, but certain specific requirements for file names and structure must be followed. Instead of the standard animation section, wave_animation is used with two parameters:
frametime— duration of each frame in ticks (default = 5)frame_height— height of each frame in pixels (default = 16)
Animation is implemented through a vertical sprite sheet where frame count is calculated automatically.
Compatibility: All changes work harmoniously with standard gameplay, complementing the environment without compromising core water mechanics.
