Toasty
Toasty is a Minecraft modification that allows displaying pop-up notifications (toasts) after specific actions are performed in the game.
Mod features:
- Works exclusively on the client side
- Full customization through resource packs
- Simple display parameter configuration
Configuring custom notifications
You can add custom toasts using resource packs. Place a JSON file in the assets/<namespace>/toasts directory.
Example configuration file structure:
{
"factory": {
"display_once": true,
"display_time_in_milliseconds": 5000,
"item": "minecraft:bread",
"text": "Display toasts after executing specific actions. Works entirely on the client!",
"title": "Toasty will help customize your pack!"
},
"toast_factory": "toasty:simple"
}
Available settings:
- Display time (default 5 seconds)
- Item for icon
- Text and title with formatting support
- Single or multiple display
Trigger types
The mod supports several ways to activate notifications:
- toasty:on_login - when entering a world (supports target settings)
- toasty:item_pickup - when picking up an item (specify item ID in targets)
- toasty:entity_kill - when killing a creature (specify creature type in targets)
Data storage
Toasty creates a toasty folder in the Minecraft root directory to track already shown notifications, providing a personalized experience for each player.
Development plans:
- Adding in-game toast editor
- CraftTweaker support
- Extended functionality and new trigger types
